About Our Restaurant

OUR RESTAURANT BIGGEROur restaurant like the dining room in most homes, is the hub of the George. We are proud to say that our entire menu is freshly cooked from scratch to order. We are very fortunate to be in the heart of Dorset, a county rich in top quality produce. All our suppliers deliver to us on a daily basis, ensuring the highest quality ingredients for our home cooked dishes. Our menu is extensive and our portions are of a hearty nature.

We are located on the harbour, and it is only right that fish should feature heavily on our specials board. We are also famous for our pies, which are hand made to order. There are over a dozen flavours to choose from plus specials from time to time.

Whether you are looking for a bowl of homemade soup, or a full mixed grill, our chefs are ready to delight your taste buds with their culinary creativeness. Our Sunday carvery is probably the most popular in the area, with a choice of at least three meats and six vegetables, together with all the usual accompaniments you would expect from a quality carvery.
