Award Winning Food! We are always looking to improve on our achievements and 2014 saw us entering for the first time in to The National Scotch Egg Challenge. We set about creating an alternative twist to a conventional scotch egg and arrived at a mash-up of Pulled Pork and Southern Comfort with a Jack Daniels glaze. To our surprise we reached the finals for a live cook off, at The Ship Inn, Wansworth in August. We arrived among 23 other finalists to cook our eggs live in front of a panel of distinguished food critics. After a nail biting experience it was announced that we were placed 5th in the UK. This means we officially have the best scotch egg in the South West! What a great surprise, but next year we intend to improve on that significantly.
